Terms and Conditions
Terms governing the use of this website and requests for technical assistance from Assisteknica.
1. Scope
This website presents Assisteknica’s diagnostic, repair and maintenance services for electrical systems, automatic gates and automation equipment. It allows users to request information, technical assistance or a callback.
By using the website, you accept these terms to the extent that they apply to browsing and using the services available through it.
2. Information on this website
Information, prices and examples on this website are provided for guidance. They may depend on the fault, diagnosis, time required, travel, materials and conditions found on site.
A price advertised as “from” is not a final quotation.
3. Assistance requests
Submitting a form or contacting us by telephone, email or WhatsApp does not automatically mean that a service has been accepted or booked.
Appointments are confirmed subject to availability, location, the nature of the request, technical conditions and agreement with the customer.
4. Diagnosis and quotations
A technical assessment may be needed before work can begin.
Diagnostic work may be charged under the terms shown on the website or communicated to the customer in advance.
Where the nature of the repair requires it, a quotation or estimate will be provided before additional work is carried out.
5. Travel
Travel may be charged separately. Outside the usual local service area, the charge may depend on the actual road distance.
The applicable terms are communicated before the visit whenever possible, without prejudice to statutory pre-contract information requirements.
6. Labour
Labour is charged at the rates shown on the website or agreed with the customer.
A minimum chargeable period may apply. Additional time is billed under the terms applicable to the service.
7. Materials and parts
Materials, parts and equipment are not included in base prices unless expressly stated.
If components need replacing, the customer will be informed before they are fitted whenever possible, subject to applicable statutory information and consent requirements.
8. Work that cannot be carried out
Assisteknica may decline or stop work where:
- working conditions are unsafe;
- the installation presents serious risks;
- specialist qualifications or authorisations outside the scope of the service are required;
- suitable parts cannot be obtained;
- the equipment is beyond repair;
- there are other justified technical reasons.
9. Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate information about the fault, equipment, location and access arrangements.
They must also ensure safe access to the place where the work is to be carried out.
10. Warranties
Warranties for services and materials are governed by Portuguese law and the specific terms of the work carried out.
A new fault unrelated to previous work should not automatically be treated as a warranty claim for that work.
These terms do not exclude or restrict consumers’ statutory rights.
11. Existing equipment and installations
Assisteknica is not responsible for pre-existing defects, previous work by third parties or hidden problems that could not reasonably be detected during diagnosis and are not attributable to Assisteknica. This does not affect consumers’ statutory rights or Assisteknica’s responsibility for its own work.
12. Prices and VAT
Prices on this website are indicative where described as such.
VAT is not charged under the exemption provided for in Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA).
13. Cancellations and rescheduling
Customers should give reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a visit.
Assisteknica may also reschedule for technical reasons, unforeseen unavailability or circumstances beyond its control, and will inform the customer as soon as possible.
These terms do not affect any statutory right of withdrawal that may apply.
14. Intellectual property
Original website content, including text, photographs, videos and graphics, is protected under applicable law. Any use must respect those rights and any uses permitted by law.
15. External links
Assisteknica does not control the content or policies of external websites linked from this site.
16. Data protection
Please see our Privacy Policy for information about how personal data is processed.
17. Complaints and dispute resolution
Please see our Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution page for information about resolving consumer disputes.
Information about access to the Portuguese Complaints Book will be provided on its page when it becomes operational. This reference does not confirm that the Electronic Complaints Book is active.
18. Changes
These terms may be updated following relevant legal, commercial or operational changes.
